DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF RECEIVES
PRAISE FROM COMMUNITY MEMBERS
Praise was given to Deputy Fire Chief Chris Bernal from community
members attending the January Fire District Meeting. A hardy round
of applause acknowledged Bernal's efforts in leading operations
after Fire Chief Neff's resignation.
Bernal has been a firefighter
with Mescal for a total of 11 years. He started with the department
when he was 18 in 1995 until he left for the Army in 1999. He finished
his tour of duty in 2003 and has been with Mescal ever since. Bernal
has served as the Incident Commander on most scenes since 2004.
Again, thank you, Chris, for stepping up to the plate!
